In the PM chapter Sarah has no problem accepting that Arle is on Earth. There’s actually a bit of unwritten story related to this. Without it, there’s a bit of a plot hole concerning Sarah’s relatively lackluster reaction to seeing Arle.
-
Sarah opened the door to see Samuel standing there. He told her they needed to meet at the park. “Someone’s waiting to see you.”
-
“I’m sorry, I can’t give you that information,” the lady behind the counter said.
“But I’m sure she attends this school,” the dark-haired teenage girl said back.
-
We only had one vanpool stop this morning, so that left a lot less time for writing.
-
Everyone gathered in the physician’s room. Shamrock untied Alfalfa while Clover untied PiƱole.
-
From the top of the grassy hill, Macrae slowly walked down to the group below. “Clover and Shamrock, how good to see you. Cecilia, I see you have a jewel, too. And of course, our dear Melilot.”
-
I took the last 164 words from the end of yesterday’s writing (after rewriting the nonsense, from being half-asleep while writing, out of them), and used that as the start for this morning’s writings, instead. It worked nicely to have a “chapter break” at this point.
-
Clover passed through the mirror. Shamrock and Chelia waited for her to join them. “Sorry I’m late,” she said as she greeted the two. “Do you have the yellow jewel?”
-
The sun started to lower in the sky to the west. Bernard watched it through the leaves and branches overhead. He looked south for a moment, at the distant palace, then back west again. In one hand he held the two jewels in his possession, one red, one orange. “How about… Macrae…”

AM words: 1,026. Under goal. There were some things in the vanpool that made it hard to work. If I keep up at this rate, I won’t reach 50,000 before Monday, or later. There’s a lot of room for increasing the length of the chapter by putting in a real confrontation between Clover and Melilot. PM words: 1,748. A bit better. Total words: 2,774.
